Service page proof
Testimonials for Each Service Page
A visitor on your roof repair page does not care that someone loved your kitchen fitting. When every service page shows the same three quotes, most of them are off topic on most pages. Match testimonials to services once, then let each page show only its own.
- Map every service to its own testimonials
- Spot services with no proof yet
- One small widget per service page
The problem, solved
Why service pages end up with the wrong proof, and the fix
Every service page shows the same quotes
The testimonial block was built once into the page template, so the plumbing page and the boiler page carry identical praise.
With StoryProof: Tag each testimonial by the service the client bought, then build a widget per service from just that tag’s testimonials.
Finding the right quote takes an afternoon
The praise is spread across emails and a spreadsheet, and nobody recorded which job each one was about.
With StoryProof: Tags sit on the testimonial itself and are on every plan, so filtering by a service gives you its proof straight away.
Our newest service has no testimonials
The page you most need to sell is the one with the least proof, and borrowing quotes from another service misleads.
With StoryProof: Send clients of that service one collection link. They can reply as text, audio or a browser video, and you tag the result to the new service.
Ten pages means ten copies of the code
Adding a separate script to every service page is fiddly and easy to break during the next site edit.
With StoryProof: Each page holds only its widget div. The embed script loads once, for example in the site footer, and fills whichever widget is on the page.
Clients ask to see everything
Some visitors want the whole picture, not the two quotes on one page.
With StoryProof: Every plan includes a Wall of Love, a hosted page of all approved testimonials that each service page can link to.
Flip the switch to see how StoryProof handles each one.

Go through it with your list of service pages open. The second group repeats for each page.

What each kind of service page needs to hear
The same client can praise many things. Pick the testimonial that answers the question a buyer of this service is asking.

Step 1 of 4
Tag the library by service
Apply one service tag per testimonial, two if it genuinely covers both.
Step 2 of 4
Create one widget per service
Filter by the service tag and add the testimonials that pass the checklist. A small layout such as a single quote or a short list suits most service pages.
Step 3 of 4
Load the script once
Add the embed script to the shared footer so every page can use it.
Step 4 of 4
Drop each widget div onto its page
Paste the right div on each service page, after the description and before the enquiry button.

A single, matched quote
On a service page one well matched testimonial often does more than a carousel of unrelated ones. Sample content below.
We put the review wall under our pricing table and prospects quote the reviews back to us on calls.

Plan for these
What this does not cover, and what to check on your side. Better to know now than after launch.
- 01
One widget per service adds up
Widgets per workspace: Free 1, Starter 5, Pro unlimited. A small "Powered by StoryProof" badge shows until Pro.
- 02
Borrowed proof misleads
Showing a kitchen client’s praise on the bathroom page implies a bathroom result you have not shown. Leave the slot empty until you have the right one.
- 03
Thin services may share a widget
If two services are close, such as two sizes of the same job, one shared tag and widget is more honest than splitting thin proof.
- 04
Local wording is the client’s choice
A testimonial that names a town reads well on a local page, but do not ask clients to add place names for search reasons.
FAQ
Questions people ask
Short answers to what usually comes up next.
How many testimonials should a service page have?
Two or three that are about that service. More than that belongs on a Wall of Love the page links to.
Where on a service page should testimonials go?
After you describe what the service includes and before the enquiry or booking button, where the visitor is deciding whether to get in touch.
What if a client praises two of our services?
Tag it with both. It can then appear in both widgets, which is accurate because the client bought both.
Should I write the testimonial’s service into the quote?
No. Show the client’s words as they gave them. The page it appears on tells the visitor which service it relates to.
Do I need a separate testimonials page as well?
It helps the visitors who want to read widely. A Wall of Love does that job without you maintaining another page.
