Per-person proof for staff profiles

Testimonials for Individual Team Members

Clients do not hire “the agency”. They book Priya for the kitchen redesign, or ask for the same mortgage adviser their sister used. When every testimonial sits in one company carousel, the person a visitor is about to choose has no proof of their own. Use the checklist to give each team member a set of quotes that name them, on the page that introduces them.

  • One tag per team member, applied at approval
  • A widget for each profile page
  • Rules for when someone leaves

The problem, solved

When proof belongs to a person, not the company

  • I cannot find quotes about Sam

A new client asks to see what others said about their adviser, and someone reads through two hundred testimonials looking for a first name.

  • Profile pages have no proof

Each person has a bio and a photo, but the reviews that mention them are on the homepage carousel instead.

  • Twelve profile pages means twelve embeds

Adding a script to every profile template sounds like a developer ticket nobody will prioritise.

  • Our plan may not cover every person

A widget per person adds up quickly in a large team.

  • A quote praising one person criticises another

“Much better than the last agent we had here” can name a colleague. It should not land on anyone’s profile.

Flip the switch to see how StoryProof handles each one.

In StoryProof

Build per-person proof in StoryProof

  • You will need
  • A profile page for each team member on your site
  • Access to add a div to those pages
  1. 1

    Collect as usual

Clients use the same collection link to write, record or leave an audio note. Ask them to mention who they worked with.

  2. 2

    Tag the person at approval

Whoever approves adds the person tag at the same time, so attribution never becomes a separate job.

  3. 3

Create a widget for each person

Select that person’s tagged testimonials. Check your plan’s widget allowance before building them all.

  4. 4

    Embed once per profile

Place each widget’s div on the profile and load the script once for the whole site.

What happens next: Once a quarter, look at which profiles have the fewest quotes. Those are the people whose clients to ask next.

Before you start

What to watch for

  • Widget allowances differ by plan

A large team may need more widgets than a smaller plan includes. Check before promising a widget to everyone.

  • Tags depend on the approver

If the person tag is skipped at approval, that quote never reaches the profile. Make it part of the routine.

  • Uneven proof is visible

A profile with one quote next to one with twenty invites comparison. Hide the section until a person has a few.

  • Leavers need a decision

Quotes about a former colleague are still true, but showing them on a live profile is not. Agree the rule before it comes up.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Short answers to what usually comes up next.

Should we ask clients to name the person they worked with?

Yes, in the request itself. A line such as “who looked after you?” makes attribution easy and the quote more personal.

Can one testimonial appear on a profile and the homepage?

Yes. Widgets are separate selections, so the same approved quote can sit in a person’s widget and a company one.

What about staff who do not want proof on their profile?

Respect it. Keep tagging their quotes so the company has them, but do not create a profile widget.

How many quotes should a profile show?

Enough that it does not look thin, usually three or more. Fewer than that, leave the section off until more arrive.

Give every team member their own proof

Tag quotes to the person they praise and show them where clients choose who to work with.
