<script async type="text/javascript" src="https://storyproof.io/widget.js"></script>What is the Full-width Slider widget?
The Full-width Slider shows a single testimonial across the whole width of its container, large and centred, then moves on to the next. Only one review is ever on screen, so every quote gets the visitor's full attention.
It can carry the photos and video attached to a review as well as the text, and it is one of the layouts that can arrive as a centred pop-up or a small card in a corner of the page instead of sitting inline.
Where the Full-width Slider works best
- Between two content sections, as a pause in the page that still sells.
- A homepage with a strong visual style, where a row of cards would compete with the design.
- A corner card on any page, showing one review at a time without taking up layout space.
When to choose a different layout
- Choose the Quote Spotlight when you want a large editorial quote with no media and no stars.
- Choose the Video Carousel when you want several video clips visible at once.
What the Full-width Slider can show
Stars, the review text, the reviewer's name, photo, job title and company, the platform badge, and attached photos or video. Arrows and dots can be shown or hidden, and autoplay runs at the interval you choose.
Setting it up
- 1Short reviews read best at this size. Set a truncation length if some of yours run long.
- 2With autoplay on, choose an interval long enough to read the longest quote you show.
- 3As a pop-up or corner card, the shape is set in the widget, and when and on which pages it appears is set in StoryProof.
Full-width Slider questions
Full-width Slider or Quote Spotlight?
Both show one review at a time. The slider carries stars, the review's photos or video and full reviewer details. Quote Spotlight sets the words alone in large editorial type, with stars hidden by default.
Does the slider play automatically?
It can. Autoplay is a toggle, with a choice of how many seconds each review stays on screen.
Can the slider show video?
Yes. Photos and video attached to a review can appear in the slide alongside the quote.
