What is the Review Banner widget?

The Review Banner condenses your social proof into a single filled bar. On one side, overlapping customer faces and a line giving your average rating and how many customers gave it, with one review underneath clipped to a single line. On the other, the stars and a button.

It is built to sit right before an action. The visitor gets the score, a human voice and the next step in one glance, without scrolling into a reviews section. The quote rotates through your reviews, so the bar never goes stale.

Where the Review Banner works best

  • Above the fold, under a hero headline when there is room for exactly one line of proof.
  • Above a form or checkout button, where a small push matters most.
  • A pop-up or a corner card, since this is one of the layouts that can be delivered either way.

When to choose a different layout

  • Choose the Announcement when the message is your own, such as a sale or a launch, and reviews are not involved.
  • Choose the Rating Badge when even one line is too much and a score chip will do.

What the Review Banner can show

Reviewer photos, your overall score and review count, one rotating review line, stars and a button. Autoplay, which rotates the quote, is on by default for this layout, and so is the heading.

Setting it up

  1. 1Choose reviews that make sense in one line, because the quote is clipped to fit.
  2. 2Pick a number of seconds per review that leaves time to read the line.
  3. 3Place it directly above the button or form it is there to support.

What is the difference between the Review Banner and the Announcement?

The Review Banner is built from your reviews: score, faces and a rotating quote. The Announcement shows only your own heading, message and button, with no reviews, and visitors can close it.

Does the quote rotate?

Yes. Autoplay is on by default for this layout and moves through your reviews at the interval you choose.

Can I hide the reviewer photos?

Yes. The overlapping faces are a toggle, so the banner can be the score and the quote alone.
